Missing-rung problem in vibrational ladder climbing

چکیده
Vibrational ladder climbing (VLC), which is a cascade excitation process of molecular vibrational levels under chirped laser pulses, one the promising methods to realize bond breaking, but there have been few experimental reports on breaking by VLC. In this study we observed vanishing transition dipole moment, interrupting VLC in general systems. This phenomenon, that adjacent forbidden at certain level, was found be explained parities function and wave functions. order preserve VLC, proposed method use an additional pulse realizes ``double-stepping'' transitions where are forbidden. To show effectiveness our method, conducted wave-packet dynamics simulations for LiH dissociations with pulses. The results indicate efficiency dissociation significantly improved compared conventional single pulse. We also revealed quantum interference effect behind relative phase between main has significant probabilities molecules.

Vibrational ladder-climbing in surface-enhanced, ultrafast infrared spectroscopy.
In a recent work (J. Phys. Chem. C 2016, 120, 3350-3359), we have introduced the concept of surface-enhanced, two-dimensional attenuated total reflectance (2D ATR IR) spectroscopy with modest enhancement factors (<50) using small plasmonic noble metal nanoparticles at solid-liquid interfaces. Here, we show that employment of almost continuous noble metal layers results in significantly stronger...
متن کاملRung-Rung Current Correlations on a 2-Leg t-J Ladder
We report the results of numerical calculations of rung-rung current correlations on a 2-leg t-J ladder with J/t = 0.35 for dopings x = 0.125 and x = 0.19. We find that the amplitude of these correlations decays exponentially. We argue that this can be understood within a bosonization framework in terms of the pinned phase variables associated with a C1SO phase with dx2−y2-like power law pairin...
متن کاملDoped Spin Ladder: Zhang-Rice Singlets or Rung-centred Holes?
We formulate charge transfer model for a single doped spin ladder, relevant for the intrinsically doped plane of coupled spin ladders in Sr3Ca11Cu24O41. Assuming the presence of the experimentally observed charge order in the system we solve the model using Hartree-Fock approximation. Our results show the profound stability of the Zhang-Rice singlets with respect to other configurations of dope...
متن کاملCoherent vibrational climbing in carboxyhemoglobin.
We demonstrate vibrational climbing in the CO stretch of carboxyhemoglobin pumped by midinfrared chirped ultrashort pulses. By use of spectrally resolved pump-probe measurements, we directly observed the induced absorption lines caused by excited vibrational populations up to v = 6. In some cases, we also observed stimulated emission, providing direct evidence of vibrational population inversio...
متن کاملClimbing the Technology Ladder Too Fast ?
This paper provides a star comparison of manufacturing productivity levels in China, India, Indonesia, South Korea and Taiwan with the US as the reference country for the period 1963-1993. South Korea and Taiwan showed prolonged catch up in labour productivity with the US, whereas the other countries had long periods of relative stagnation. This is reflected in relative performance of seven det...
